What a reading covers
A full Saju reading works from your four pillars: year, month, day and hour of birth. From these eight characters I can read:
Your elemental character. The Day Master pillar represents the self, and its element describes how you naturally operate. A strong wood Day Master thinks in systems and needs autonomy. A fire Day Master leads with presence and burns out without recognition. The interactions between your Day Master and the other elements in your chart describe your relationship to pressure, to other people, to work, and to change. This is the most stable part of the reading because it's describing structure, not circumstance.
Your dominant patterns. Every chart has elemental imbalances, elements that appear too strongly or are entirely absent. These imbalances show up as recurring patterns: the kind of relationship dynamic that keeps repeating, the way you handle financial decisions, what happens when you're under prolonged stress. Seeing these mapped clearly is often the most immediately useful part of a reading for people who've noticed the patterns but couldn't name the mechanism.
Your current luck pillar and what it means. Luck pillars are ten-year windows that sit over your natal chart and shape the conditions of that period. Some pillars support your Day Master naturally, bringing ease and forward momentum. Others create friction, which isn't necessarily bad, but it does mean the period requires more careful navigation. Knowing which kind of decade you're in changes how you approach decisions.
The year ahead. Each year carries its own stem and branch, which interacts with both your natal chart and your current pillar. I can tell you whether the year's energy is favourable for the kind of move you're considering, whether there are periods that warrant more care, and where the year's strongest windows sit.
What a reading doesn't tell you
Saju maps conditions. It doesn't tell you:
Whether you will get a specific job, outcome or person
Whether a specific decision is the right one in absolute terms
What will happen to people in your life who aren't in the reading
Anything about health outcomes, legal outcomes, or other domain-specific predictions that require professional expertise
If a practitioner is making those kinds of promises, that's a signal to be cautious.
The reading works best when you have a real question
Clients who get the most from a reading come with something specific they're trying to understand. They're weighing a career move and want to know if the timing is right. They keep experiencing the same dynamic in relationships and want to understand the structural pattern. They're entering a new decade and want a clear picture of what kind of period it is.
A reading without a question can still be useful, but it stays more general. The chart gives me everything I need to work with. The question tells me where to focus.
